A sustainable approach

A sustainability agenda for A Better Tomorrow

We have a long and proud history of sustainability initiatives. It has always been important for us, but as we embark upon a new journey today, we are bringing sustainability to the front and centre of all our actions.

BAT is committed to making a step change in its sustainability ambition and has announced stretching targets that is confident will accelerate its purpose to deliver A Better Tomorrow for all stakeholders, including:

  • Increasing consumers of non-combustible products to 50 million by 2030
  • Achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 and accelerating the Group’s existing environmental targets to 2025
  • Achieving Alliance for Water Stewardship Core Certification for Dhaka Factory and GLTP by the end of 2021

Keeping the evolved transition at the center, across the Group we are identifying a robust process to implement Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) initiatives that drive our long-term business sustainability and value creation.
