Background
Ms. Farah Noor is a seasoned legal and governance professional with more than 25 years of experience in legal, regulatory, compliance, corporate affairs and stakeholder engagement. Over nearly 21 years with BAT Bangladesh PLC., she has played a key role in strengthening the Company’s governance framework, managing legal and regulatory risks, and promoting a culture of compliance and ethical business conduct.
Ms. Noor holds LL.B (Honours) and LL.M degrees from the University of Dhaka and has completed a range of international professional development programmes in litigation management, contract law, regulatory affairs, risk management, finance, leadership and stakeholder engagement, including specialized training in Malaysia, Amsterdam, Singapore and Hong Kong.
She began her legal career at Chancery Chambers, one of Bangladesh’s leading law firms, before joining BAT Bangladesh in 2005 as Legal Counsel. Over the years, she has held several senior legal and business partnering roles, developing extensive expertise in corporate governance, regulatory affairs, litigation management, employment law, risk management, internal controls and Anti-Illicit Trade (AIT).
Currently, Ms. Noor serves as Company Secretary of BAT Bangladesh PLC., supporting the Board of Directors and leading the Company’s governance and compliance agenda. She has also played a pivotal role in building effective relationships with government authorities, regulators, and business partners to support a sustainable business environment.

Ms. Farah Noor was appointed as Company Secretary to the Board of Director of BAT Bangladesh PLC. on 23rd July 2026.
