Mr. Numayer Alam brings over two decades of experience with British American Tobacco, spanning Bangladesh and the East Asia Area (Vietnam & Cambodia). He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. His career reflects a consistent track record of driving growth, shaping strategy, and developing talent, making him a key contributor to BAT’s commercial success both locally and internationally.

Mr. Alam was appointed as a Commercial Director to the Board of BAT Bangladesh on 25th September 2024.

- 2022–Present: Serving as Commercial Director, BAT Bangladesh. Leads one of the largest sales operation networks in the country, delivering record-breaking sales and revenue. Strengthened commercial governance and market resilience, while doubling female talent inclusion and progression in Marketing and Commercial functions.
- 2017–2022: Head of Trade Marketing and later Head of Brands, BAT East Asia Area (Vietnam & Cambodia). Achieved significant growth in volume, market share, and turnover through route-to-market optimization, impactful trade activations, portfolio enhancement, and talent development.
- 2014–2016: Regional Manager for Dhaka, Strategy, Planning & Insights Manager, and later Head of Strategy, Planning & Insights. Played a pivotal role in long-term business simulations and strategic initiatives.
- 2012: Project Manager for Bangladesh, overseeing global deployment of the TAO (Target Operating Model and OneSAP) programme.
- 2010: Enterprise Programme Manager, transitioning into cross-functional leadership.
