Background
Ms. Olga Gumnits is an accomplished finance leader with over 20 years of international experience across finance, audit, governance, risk management, and internal controls. An ACCA-qualified finance professional, she holds a Diploma with Honours in International Finance and Banking from Tashkent State Economic University.
She began her BAT career in Uzbekistan and progressed through procurement and finance roles before moving to BAT Russia as Planning and Reporting Manager. She later held a series of international leadership positions, including Finance Controller in Switzerland, Audit Manager for Western Europe, and Regional Head of Corporate Finance for Eastern Europe, overseeing finance reporting and corporate finance coordination across multiple markets.
Ms. Gumnits subsequently served as Finance Director for Kazakhstan and South Central Asia, Caucasus and Moldova, and Switzerland, leading finance operations, controls, tax, treasury, restructuring, and commercial decision-making. From 2020 to 2024, she was Head of Growth Management for BAT Central Europe, covering 10 markets and leading pricing, portfolio, and investment decisions.
In 2024, she joined Group Internal Audit as Audit Controller, Global Functions, and became Global Head of Internal Audit in 2026, leading BAT’s global internal audit function, audit governance, risk and control framework, and Audit Committee reporting. Since June 2026, she has served as Area Head of Finance, APMEA Central, overseeing financial performance, strategic planning, governance, controls, and talent development across the area.
