Background
Mr. Nomore Mapanzure is an accomplished finance leader with over 25 years of professional experience, including more than a decade in senior finance leadership and board-level roles. During his 22+ years with British American Tobacco, he has held a wide range of roles across Africa spanning Treasury, Commercial Finance, Operations Finance, Business Transformation, and regional finance leadership.
He is a Chartered Accountant registered in both Zimbabwe [CA(Z)] and South Africa [CA(SA)]. He completed his professional training and articles with Deloitte Zimbabwe and holds an Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science degree from the University of South Africa.
Before joining BAT Bangladesh PLC as Finance Director, Mr. Mapanzure served as Business Transformation Lead for Sub-Saharan Africa, leading strategic market exits, business model simplification, and asset optimization initiatives. He has provided financial leadership across multi-country clusters, listed entities, and regional leadership teams, including service as a Non-Executive Director of BAT Zimbabwe Holdings Limited. Throughout his career, he has successfully navigated complex economic and regulatory environments, strengthening governance, improving controls, releasing cash, and driving sustainable business performance.
